TF-I Technology Operations and Concepts
Educational Technology Facilitators Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of technology operstaions and concepts. Educational Technology Facilitators:
A. Demonstrate Knowledge, Skills, and understanding of concepts related to technology (as described in the ISTE National)
1.Assist teachers in the ongoing development of knowledge, skills, and understanding of technology systems, and resources that are aligned with district and state technology plan.
In order to meet the needs of all teachers within the school the need is there for all teachers to be able to establish some form of technology within their classrooms. The school has purchased iPad's for all students within the High School so being their and preparing different ways teachers can use and manage the iPad in their classrooms. As an Instructional Technology Facilitator I am prepared to update and keep teachers up to date with anything which may come up with the technology. For teacher to be able to adapt and learn from different techniques which have been provided by myself and my department we have provided several different websites for teachers to access.
2. Provide assistance to teachers in identifying technology systems, resources, and services to meet specific learning needs.
I have assisted several teachers and specialists by providing technology resources for their own specific classrooms and students.
B. Demonstrate continual growth in technology knowledge and skills to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies. Candidates:
1. Model appropriate strategies essential to continued growth and development of the understanding of technology operations and concepts.
As a teacher I am always keeping students up to date with everything which I am asking in my own classroom. In the attached project you can see that students complete several key tasks dealing with a real life example of a project that students would put together. Students are asked for several key points which are represented by key aspects of design from different technology concepts. Also I focus on using databases effectively and searching the Internet effectively for research and writing papers.
